Jasmine was born in Tucson, Arizona, the oldest of two children. She spent her teen years living in Phoenix, Arizona and then attended the University of Arizona in Tucson where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing. She married and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where her husband attended graduate school at the University of Utah. There she adopted a love for the changing seasons, snowboarding and the beauty of the mountains.
About the Author
She spent several years working on a literary novel but found her heart wasn’t in it. Finally she quit her day job to write full time and embraced her life-long love of fantasy fiction. In 2007, she wrote her first novel in the Psyne (pronounced "sign") series and she was hooked. She queried agents and publishers but was met by rejection after rejection so she did what any self-respecting writer does – she kept writing. She followed up the first Psyne novel with a sequel and then took a break from mermaids to write the first book in her vampire series.
No longer willing to keep the Psyne all to herself she found a self-publisher and became more than a writer, editor and reader: she became her own publisher, marketer, and publicist.
With the first two novels in the Psyne series published, Jasmine is anxious to finish writing the third novel in the series entitled, Radiant, due out Summer 2015.
